ALCOHOL USE POLICY
Alcohol Use & Permits
You, as the host of this private party, may provide wine and beer to your guests free of charge. You may purchase your own beer/wine. A bartender is recommended, but not required. Bar service must end 30 minutes prior to the end of your reception. If you are allowing self-service, please have a designated individual tasked with removing remaining beer and wine out of sight at the 30 minute cutoff.
If you choose to serve liquor, NC law requires an ABC One Day Special Occasion Permit. If you choose to do this option, please provide When Pigs Fly Events, LLC a copy of permit. NC law prohibits guests bringing their own alcohol or liquor to the event venue. We require a NC licensed and fully insured bartender to serve any liquor/mixed drinks. Drinks must be served open-bar style only; cash bars are not allowed.
In North Carolina, you must be at least 21 years old to consume, possess or buy alcohol. It is illegal to sell or serve alcoholic beverages to anyone under 21 years old. Parents can't provide alcohol to their children who are younger than 21 years old.
